supportIT integrates social and environmental concerns into their mainstream business operations through engagement in the local community, working with not-for-profits and supporting a sustainable tomorrow.

Empowering non-profits

We help not-for-profits advance their missions through digital transformation, enabled by a secure and trusted IT partner. supportIT is a proud partner of Ireland’s largest network of community and voluntary organisations, The Wheel, and LauraLynn Childrena’s Hospice Business Club. We also make annual donations to the Dublin Simon House of cards appeal and UNICEF children’s appeal.

Local engagement

We engage with our community at a local level to promote the power of technology . We support the local Educate Together National School with a ‘Zero’ rate contract and sponsor the local St. Brendan’s GAA team. We also organise series of free events each year that are dedicated to sharing IT resources and knowledge with the community.

Protecting our planet

Our environmental sustainability work focuses on carbon, energy, water and waste minimisation. We advocate the use of sustainable products where possible within our organisation; through Cloud and shared server hosting we are automatically contributing to the reduction of carbon emission as servers use an energy amount which is equivalent to a small car carbon emission. In our efforts to reduce waste, surplus computer equipment is donated to Camara social enterprise. Camara sends refurbished computers and provides digital literacy training to schools and other educational institutions in Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Zambia, Uganda, Tanzania, Jamaica, and Haiti. We urge others to partner up with Camara to see the benefits of this wonderful organisation.
